On June 8, 2022, Boston University’s Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS), an affiliated center of Boston University’s Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies, hosted a conversation with Colombian Congresswoman-elect Karmen Ramírez Boscán, a Geneva-based indigenous Wayúu woman who was selected to represent overseas Colombians in the Congress.

During the event, Karmen Ramírez Boscán – founder of Fuerza Mujeres Wayuu and a member of the coalition Pacto Histórico – broke down the challenges facing Colombia today.
